Join the monks and visitors in silence before 6pm Vespers weekdays
Here, some of our monks, visitors and people on their way home after work join together at St Augustine's Abbey, Chilworth and sit simply being quiet, praying, meditating, being still and being with God at 5.30pm every weekday before the Divine Office of Vespers starts at 6pm in the Abbey Church.
Come and see: always feel welcome to step into the silence and ancient rhythm of Benedictine monastic life where 1,500 years of prayer, hospitality and stillness invite the restless soul to find rest in God.
Sat 6 September 2025, 10am-12noon. £10 per person. Deepen your understanding of Indigenous traditions and spirituality.
Sunday Mass is at 10am, weekday Mass is at 9am. Join the monks in prayer.
