St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth invites you to a fascinating Study Morning about Indigenous Spirituality.
The Study Morning is an introduction to the way our spiritual journey can be enriched by looking at the spirituality of some tribal people. We shall see a documentary on the Māori people and hear the reflections of Mr Jeremy Marks in person as he speaks about his studies about some famous Native Americans.
This enriching event will take place at St Augustine's Abbey, Chilworth on Saturday 6 September 2025 from 10am to 12 noon. Please head for the Assisi Room at the rear of the monastery where we are meeting. Car parking is freely available.
With a focus on deepening understanding of Indigenous traditions and their spiritual wisdom, this promises to be a thought provoking and inspiring session. “Sheila Longman brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep appreciation for the sacred traditions of Indigenous cultures,” said Fr Paulinus Greenwood OSB, Abbot of St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth; “we are delighted to host this event, offering a unique opportunity for reflection and learning in the peaceful surroundings of the monastery.”
