Product Details

The Font measures 18cm X 9cm, the bowl 3 cm deep.

The bowl is decorated with shamrock motifs. St Patrick used this three leafed plant to explain the mystery of God the Holy Trinity. As this one plant has three leaves, so God is Three Persons in One Divine Nature. The Cross has a circular nimbus symbolises the sun. The pagans Patrick preached to, worshipped the sun. So Patrick used that, to show them that, just as the sun gives us light and life, so the Cross gives us a share in God's divine life. It is decorated in green, symbol of life, in a traditional Celtic design.
